About Us

Anhui Wound Solutions is dedicated to advancing wound care through the development of innovative hemostatic technologies that address the critical challenge of uncontrolled bleeding. Our focus is on creating effective, reliable, and biocompatible solutions that support healthcare professionals in emergency, surgical, trauma, and postoperative care settings. Our innovation is a chitosan-based hemostatic sponge enriched with hydroxyapatite and montmorillonite, combining the unique advantages of these biomaterials to deliver rapid bleeding control and enhanced wound management. The highly porous structure of the sponge enables exceptional fluid absorption, promotes platelet aggregation, and accelerates clot formation, helping to achieve rapid hemostasis even in complex wound environments. In addition to its hemostatic capabilities, the sponge exhibits antibacterial properties that help reduce the risk of infection and support faster recovery. Its excellent biocompatibility, biodegradability, and mechanical strength make it suitable for a wide range of medical applications where effective bleeding management is essential. At Anhui Wound Solutions, we are committed to translating scientific innovation into practical healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes and support medical professionals in delivering high-quality care. Through continuous research, product development, and a commitment to excellence, we strive to contribute to the future of advanced wound care and hemostatic technologies worldwide.

Problems To Solve

Limitations of Existing Hemostatic Agents

The use of various hemostatic materials has posed certain problems in their applications. Most hemostatic materials have necessitated external pressure during use, which can be cumbersome. Fibrin hemostats, while effective, may have led to allergic reactions and have been difficult to preserve adequately. Collagen hemostats, despite their fast dissolution, have suffered from poor mechanical properties. Also, cellulose hemostats have had the potential to cause inflammation and impede tissue repair.

Constraints of Chitosan Sponges

Using a sponge containing only a single component, such as chitosan or gelatin, has proven insufficient in meeting the comprehensive wound repair needs. Although chitosan can be blended with other polymers, this combination may lead to a drawback as they can be easily washed away by blood or water during use, reducing their efficacy. Moreover, chitosan sponges have suffered from several disadvantages, including poor mechanical properties, a tendency for large brittleness, and rapid degradation under acidic conditions. Despite its antibacterial properties, chitosan alone has not been adequate to prevent wound infections.

Our Solution

Anhui Wound Solutions has developed an advanced chitosan-based hemostatic sponge designed to address uncontrolled bleeding and improve wound care outcomes. By integrating chitosan with hydroxyapatite and montmorillonite, the sponge combines rapid blood absorption, enhanced platelet aggregation, and strong mechanical stability to achieve effective hemostasis. The porous structure promotes efficient fluid management while maintaining close contact with the wound surface. Additionally, hydrophobic alkyl chains grafted onto the chitosan backbone further enhance the material’s hemostatic and antibacterial performance, enabling faster clot formation and reducing the risk of infection. The sponge is biocompatible, biodegradable, and suitable for emergency, surgical, trauma, and postoperative applications, providing healthcare professionals with a reliable solution for bleeding control and wound management.
